Design and construction phase services for the addition of a 2000 kW, 7,200/12,470 volt, three-phase, four-wire, diesel generator to provide standby power to entire facility. The new generator design interfaced with existing medium-voltage switchgear. The project was divided into three phases to minimize impact to ongoing facility operations. Phase One consisted of design and construction of the generator building and pad. Phase Two involved adding underground concrete-encased duct bank and wiring between existing switchgear and the new generator. Phase Three incorporated the addition of the generator, 10,000-gallon aboveground fuel tank, day tank, and generator controls.
