
Planning, design and construction documents for a new
106,000 SF general academic building at the George Mason
University Fairfax campus via association between Cooper,
Robertson & Partners and Gauthier, Alvarado &
Associates. The facility is sited as the second building
forming a quad on the southern portion of the campus.
The new building is planned to exemplify state-of-the
art technology within college classrooms with computer
technologies that respond to instructional and learning
needs. The building has two lecture halls fully equipped
for multi-media presentations, live closed-circuit transmissions
and connections for distance learning with other institutions
and the business world, two television production studios,
a series of tiered computer laboratories and various
classroom configurations
