Programming,
planning design development, contract documents, cost estimates
and construction support for a new complex for maintenance
operations of Centennial Golf Course. The complex is formed
as an enclosed compound using the rear of a new maintenance
building and the rear of an existing vehicle storage building
as two of the sides and a wood screening fence along the
adjacent
course cart paths and nearby neighborhoods. The project involved
assisting the maintenance staff re-evaluate and refine their
space needs. The new maintenance building incorporates equipment
repair bays for course maintenance equipment, tool storage,
seed storage, fertilizer storage, office, lunch and locker
spaces, plus separate golfer toilets with direct access from
the cart path. The project includes a separate pesticide
storage
shed, relocated fuel tanks, a separate wash down area and
employee parking. The maintenance bay areas include special
exhaust systems, vehicle lifts, overhead product dispensing
and other features associated with traditional vehicle maintenance
facilities. Special storm filter units were incorporated
into
the stormwater management system.
